Over 100 CSOs have joined the BCSDN member Center for Civil Society Promotion’s (CPCD) call to support demands for revising the Federation of BiH’s 2025 minimum wage reforms. While supporting the wage increase to 1,000 KM, the call warns that excluding CSOs from subsidy programs threatens the sustainability of a sector employing over 6,300 people. Current policies risk destabilizing civil society and harming marginalized groups dependent on its services. CSOs in the FBiH urge an impact analysis, a sustainable fiscal reform strategy, and recognition of CSOs as vital socio-economic actors. Despite limited official responses, the Minister of Labor and Social policy has pledged to address these concerns in upcoming discussions. CSOs demands stress the need for collaboration among stakeholders to ensure inclusive reforms that protect civil society’s essential role in societal development. Find more here.
