BCSDN’s Head of Policy and Advocacy, Anja Bosilkova-Antovska, participated in the third session of the Council for Coordination and Monitoring of the Open Government Partnership Process 2024-2026 in North Macedonia on December 23, discussing updates and challenges in implementing the National Action Plan for Open Government 2024-2026. Insights from the Open Government Partnership Western Balkans 2024 Meeting in Tirana were also reviewed, where Bosilkova-Antovska presented BCSDN’s annual regional report on civic space in the WBT, addressing key issues such as reducing bureaucratic barriers, ensuring sustainable funding, and strengthening CSO-government cooperation. Her presentation highlighted closing gaps between legal guarantees and implementation, promoting transparency in public funding, and enhancing structured state- CSOs dialogue through participatory platforms. Looking ahead to the OGP Global Summit in Spain in 2025, BCSDN reaffirms its commitment to fostering collaboration, enabling civic spaces, and advancing open government reforms across the Western Balkans.
