The 2022 Effective Development Co-operation Summit is taking place at the midpoint of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development this week in Geneva, bringing various global actors together to put a spotlight on how better cooperation strengthens trust and transforms the ways of joint actions. This event brings together the Global Partnership for Development Effectiveness – GPEDC stakeholders, amongst which BCSDN is the Secretariat for the Europe Region. BCSDN`s Executive Director, Ms. Biljana Spasovska, took part in the Spotlight Session titled “Effective Multilateral Support at Country Level”, focused on the principles of an effective multilateral support system. In her address, Ms. Spasovska discussed the CSOs’ position in development in the context of shrinking civic space and the role of multilateral to strengthen and accommodate the participation of CSOs in the development process in their countries.
