For the 11th time, BCSDN Western Balkans members are conducting surveys to assess the state of the civil society enabling environment in the countries of the region.
The aim of the survey is to better understand the challenges CSOs in the region faced in the past year, enabling responsible and evidence-based advocacy for improving policies and practices related to civil society in each country.
The survey encompasses three (3) areas:
- Basic Legal Guarantees of Freedom
- Framework for CSO Financial Viability and Sustainability
- CSO-Government Relationship
The survey findings will support the annual assessment of the state of the civil society enabling environment in each Western Balkan country and will be compiled into six national reports and one regional Monitoring Matrix report for 2023. The research is conducted by the Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN) in cooperation with its Western Balkan members.
The research is being conducted within the framework of the Regional Civil Society Hub project, implemented by BCSDN, and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
CSOs’ contribution is of immense importance. Individual responses are strictly confidential and anonymous.
