On 2-3 September 2021, The Balkan Network for Local Democracy (BNLD) is organizing a Regional Best Practice Fair in Skopje, North Macedonia. The hybrid event will gather Western Balkan’s CSOs’ representatives, youth groups, local public authorities, local media outlets, as well as BNLD’s members from the region. The event’s objective is to create an open and positive environment for information sharing and rethinking the cooperation between local authorities and civil society. The physical and virtual audience can participate in a combination of presentations and peer-to-peer exchanges. The sessions will provide a modern perspective on citizens’ participation adjusted to the new reality, while the networking will encourage a mutual understanding and cooperation to jointly face the challenges in the respective communities. BNLD is one of the Sida- funded Regional Civil Society Hub grantees which project as in line with our mission will contribute towards promoting the civil society enabling environment and effective, transparent, and accountable CSOs’ work in the Balkans.
