The Arts and Culture Funders Forum will bring foundations and practitioners together in Paris on 21–23 October 2026 to explore how impact in arts and culture can be understood beyond quantitative indicators. As foundations face growing pressure to demonstrate results, conventional measurement approaches can narrow artistic practice into predefined outputs and fail to capture learning, relationships and forms of change specific to cultural work. The event will examine evaluation methods that recognise these qualitative and relational dimensions while protecting artistic freedom and the integrity of cultural ecosystems. Through keynotes, practitioner testimonies, workshops and a field visit, participants will distinguish monitoring from impact and develop shared principles for meaningful evaluation and organisational learning. The Forum will also explore how foundations can become stronger learning organisations by embedding learning across their teams, governance, portfolios and partnerships, enabling them to respond more effectively to evolving cultural and societal challenges.
