The 2016 Annual Report on the State of Philanthropy in Serbia is a part of broader initiative to promote and stimulate philanthropy in Serbia and the region carried out by Trag Foundation and Catalyst Balkans. The data in this year’s report shows that there were not any significant changes compared to 2015. 2016’s total estimated value of giving is 21.2 million EUR, given for wide range of themes, recipients and final beneficiaries, which is 4.9% lower than in 2015. Although the total value of donations and the average donation per citizen slightly decreased, the fluctuations of less than 5% indicate that it was a matter of stagnation rather than significant negative trend.
